Faculty Member, Biological Sciences

Lecturer in Fish and Aquatic Ecology

About

Research interests focus on the ecology, evolution and conservation of fish. I'm also keen to see the development of stable isotope analysis as a standard method in aquatic ecology.

Other projects examine the ecological effects of climate change on aquatic ecosystems and species and I'm known to do some work on tropical ecology (Coral reef and river fishes).

Main study species:  pollan (Coregonus autumnalis), whitefish (Coregonus lavaretus), brown trout (Salmo trutta), European eel (Anguilla anguilla), guppies (Poecilia reticulata), 3-spined sticklebacks (Gasterosteus aculeatus).
